About Birra Moretti on draught
Birra Moretti has just become the best-selling draught lager in Britain, overtaking Carling. It is an Italian lager at 4.6 per cent with a soft, slightly bready malt character and not much bitterness, which is why it goes down so easily in the sun. It is the lager people choose when they want something a bit more premium than the standard pint without going full craft.
It comes in a 30 litre keg of about 52 pints and a 50 litre keg of about 88 pints. Birra Moretti Sale di Mare, the sea salt version, comes in a 30 litre keg. The 30 litre is popular for garden bars, the 50 litre for weddings and big birthdays.
What you need to pour Birra Moretti
- Coupler: Birra Moretti kegs take an S-type coupler, the standard Sankey fitting on most UK and European lagers.
- Tap: A standard lager tap.
Running your own bar? Couplers, taps and line are under Parts and accessories on the price list. Or hire a pump or full bar and we set it all up for you in Doncaster.
Birra Moretti questions
Which coupler does a Birra Moretti keg need?
An S-type, the same as Peroni, Heineken, Amstel and most other European lagers. If you have an S-type on your home bar in Doncaster it will fit.
Which size Moretti keg should I get?
The 30 litre, about 52 pints, suits a garden bar or a party of twenty or so. The 50 litre, about 88 pints, is the better buy per pint for a wedding or a big birthday. Both are listed with current prices on the product page.
Do you do Birra Moretti Sale di Mare?
Yes, in a 30 litre keg. It is the version brewed with Italian sea salt, a touch more savoury. It is on the lager price list alongside the standard Moretti.
