Privacy policy

Kegs On Legs ("we") is a keg delivery and bar hire business based in Barnsley, South Yorkshire. This page explains what personal information this website collects, why, and what we do with it. It is written in plain English and it is short because we do not collect much.

What we collect and why

Order request form. We ask for your name, mobile number, email address, delivery address, postcode, preferred delivery date, what the order is for, any notes, and confirmation that you are 18 or over. We need these to check stock, work out delivery, contact you to confirm the order and payment, and deliver to the right place. We also record the items in your basket and the time the form was sent.

Contact form. Your name, email address, optional phone number and your message, so we can reply.

Basket. Your basket is stored in your own browser (local storage) so it survives a refresh. It is not sent to us until you submit an order request.

Spam protection. Forms may use Cloudflare Turnstile to check you are not a bot. Turnstile may process your IP address and browser details under Cloudflare's privacy policy. We also record the time the form was opened to filter out automated submissions.

Analytics. We use cookieless, privacy-friendly analytics that count page views and a few events (such as adding to the basket or tapping the phone number). This does not identify you and no cookies are set, which is why there is no cookie banner.

Legal basis

We process order details because they are necessary to take the steps you ask for before entering into a contract (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). Contact messages and spam protection are processed on the basis of our legitimate interests in running the business and keeping the site secure (Article 6(1)(f)). We do not send marketing and there is no marketing opt-in.

Who sees it

Order requests and messages are sent to us by email through Resend, our email provider, and a copy of your order is emailed to you. If enabled, a short text alert with your name, number and order total is sent to the owner's phone through Twilio. The website is hosted on Vercel. These providers process data on our behalf and do not use it for their own purposes. We do not sell or share your details with anyone else.

How long we keep it

Order emails are kept for as long as we need them for the order, for any dispute and for our accounting records, then deleted. Contact messages are deleted once dealt with. There is no customer database behind this website: the emails are the record.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email hello@kegsonlegs.net or ring 07860 470824. If you are unhappy with our answer you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Age

This website sells alcohol and is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. See our terms for the age rules that apply to orders.
